I can’t recall a time when economic policy issues have seemed so important, and you can tell that from my list of recent posts. It’s been pretty hot around here, and only the lefties can stand politics 24/7. For the rest of us, it’s time for a brief cooling-off period. And when it’s time to get cool, who better to help you get there than Chet Baker?
So here’s a little something that soothes, for sure, but still has plenty of musical value. It’s a song I love to play myself, at home with my sax, but Chet makes it seem like the trumpet is the only instrument that can really do it right.
It’s a good way to forget about Washington, DC, and Wisconsin, and everywhere else where sensible people are pushing back against the metastasizing welfare state. I hope you enjoy it.
