Why We’re So Screwed

The US electorate is full of idiots who know absolutely nothing about economics–or logic–and are eager to prove it.

Is it really so difficult to comprehend the difference between “less” and “none”?

Clearly our root problem is the educational system.

  1. A main tenet of statist philosophy is williful ignorance; a complete disregard of human incentives and basic budget math. Another tenet: hypocrisy. I’m willing to bet that Ari gave more to charity than every single person villifying him on Twitter.

  2. I think that bet is a mortal lock. A bet that somebody might take at less-than-triple-digit odds is whether he gave more than the combined total of every person vilifying him on twitter.

These people set exacting moral standards for everyone but themselves.

Clearly our root problem is the educational system.

More specifically, the higher educational system. Even more specifically, colleges and universities.
